Modeling Process: Exterior & Interior I used Box Modeling and Edge Extrude methods to create the model in the 3dsmax software. I started modeling the body and divided it into parts. The detailing process of the parts took a long time. The exterior is very detailed.
The interior has less details because I rendered images only outside of the car. I didn't find a good blueprint about the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S car so it was very hard to create this model.
Lighting Process: In the scene I placed two area lights and a skylight for direct and indirect illuminations. I added a HDRI map for extra reflections. I harmonized lights and materials according to the studio set-up which I used.
Rendering Process: I used Vray render engine. I selected Adaptive QMC type for Image sampler (Antialiasing) and GI engine’s Irradiance map for Indirect Illumination. The final render time of an image was 2-3 hours with an AMD Athlon 2500+ CPU and 1,5 GByte Ram.
Post Productions: I used Photoshop for the color correction and glow effect.
Do you have any cg tips that you believe most other artist may not know or realize?
In my opinion these "tips” or things are well-known.
I think the main conditions of creation are
that you need lots of practice and time, patience and good will-power.
